About Keir Weimer

photo(3) Keir Weimer is a native of the Greater Syracuse area, growing up in the eastern suburb of Manlius, NY, and now resides in Saratoga Springs, NY. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and economics from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. He has worked overseas twice, where he held analyst positions at both Xerox Europe and Oneida Ltd. in London, U.K. He's also worked for a brief period at a private equity, holding and consulting firm in Manhattan. While these positions in large, multinational corporations gave Keir Weimer great knowledge and exposure, Mr. Weimer has always been an entrepreneur at heart. In January of 2012, he made the decision to found and became President of his own real estate investment and holding firm, The Thistle Island Group, LLC. Keir Weimer has also embraced pursuits as both a writer and an active inspirational speaker, telling his story and carrying his message forward to students and a variety of audiences throughout the region and all of New York State. Not wanting to detract from his main career path and goals—but rather wanting to grow his real estate investment firm in tandem—Keir Weimer joined the Select Sotheby's International Realty organization in early 2013 as a licensed Realtor in the State of New York. Mr. Weimer has always enjoyed building relationships, growing businesses and bringing value to whatever undertaking he commits to. He brings a vast knowledge of the Capital/Saratoga Springs region and the entire Adirondack Park, and is thrilled to be a part of the Select Sotheby's International Realty team. Mr. Weimer brings a distinctive eagerness to achieving the goals of his clients with the highest level of integrity, industry expertise and market intelligence. When he finds time away from his careers, Keir Weimer enjoys reading, writing, traveling and exploring new areas and challenges in life. He’s an accomplished triathlete, alpine, nordic and water skier, all-season hiker, sailor and all-around outdoor and Adirondack enthusiast.
